About Me

Hello! My name is Mark Cross. I’ve been interested in minerals my whole life. Some of my earliest memories revolve around hunting for interesting rocks and crystals wherever I could find them. I still have the first tourmaline specimen that I ever found, it is a piece of schorl and quartz that I found on the school playground in Virginia when I was seven years old. I’ve been collecting and photographing minerals for around a decade, but I only recently started to expand my network in the mineral world. In my collection, I focus on aesthetic pegmatite minerals and gem crystals. I particularly appreciate tourmaline crystals on matrix. I live in Colorado with my wife and our two year old son. They are my world! This hobby has morphed into an obsession that has taken me around the world in search of excellent minerals and the people who cherish them. I look forward to meeting you!
